2025 Hon Hai Technology Award Winners Announced: Tzu-Hao Chen from Feng Chia University's Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering is the Only Private University Recipient

The winners of the 2025 Hon Hai Technology Award were announced on June 6, with 21 master's and doctoral students from top domestic and international universities, including National Taiwan University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Tsing Hua University, National Cheng Kung University, National Central University, Feng Chia University, and Johns Hopkins University, standing out in fierce competition. Among them, Tzu-Hao Chen, a doctoral student from Feng Chia University's Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, won the award for his outstanding research achievements, becoming the only recipient from a private university this year and attracting widespread attention.

Tzu-Hao Chen has been studying at Feng Chia University since his undergraduate years, progressing through bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, all within the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering. His consistent dedication to research highlights Feng Chia University's solid foundation and systematic support in cultivating long-term research talent. His award-winning research focuses on achieving unconscious identity authentication through keystroke dynamics within a zero-trust security framework.

Chen's advisor is Rong-San Lee, Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering at Feng Chia University, and currently the Director of the Institute for Information Industry Cybersecurity Technology Institute.

Tzu-Hao Chen, a doctoral student in the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, won the 2025 Hon Hai Technology Award for his outstanding research achievements, making him the only private university recipient.

Chen expressed his joy at receiving the Hon Hai Technology Award, stating that it not only affirms his research achievements but also motivates him to continue advancing in his academic journey. His advisor, Rong-San Lee, noted that Chen has consistently demonstrated passion and perseverance in research, along with exceptional independent thinking and interdisciplinary integration skills. This award is well-deserved, recognizing his efforts and reflecting Feng Chia University's strong foundation in nurturing research talent. Feng Chia University will continue to encourage faculty and students to challenge major domestic and international awards and projects, strengthen the connection between research and industry, and enable Feng Chia students to shine in the academic world.

This year's Hon Hai Technology Award attracted over 100 top papers for competition. The judging panel, composed of experts and scholars from Hon Hai Research Institute and various fields, conducted comprehensive evaluations based on academic depth, technological innovation, and application value. Ultimately, 21 outstanding works were selected, with each recipient awarded NT$250,000 and opportunities for industry engagement.
