To provide faculty and students with a better interface for searching and using library resources, the library decided to adapt a new cloud-based Library Service Platform (LSP). The LSP integrates cloud computing and AI functionalities, offering a one-stop solution for searching both physical and electronic library resources, thereby more effectively supporting teaching and research.

The LSP will officially go live on Thursday, January 1, 2026. During the system transition period, the original web-based OPAC and EasySearch (Electronic Resources Discovery Services) will remain unaffected. However, some services and functions will be temporarily suspended in sequence, and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Suspension of Collection Reservation Services
  1. Reservation services for borrowed library materials will be suspended. 
  2. Reservation services for stacks of Ren-Yan building and Fushing Campus will be suspended. 
  3. Reservation services for various collection statuses (including rush cataloging books, on search books, etc.) will also be suspended.

★ Please note that currently reserved books will not be transferred to the new system. Please re-reserve them in the new system after its launch on January 1, 2026.

Personal Borrowing History

Please log in to "View Your Record/ Renewals" > "My Reading History" > " Export Reading History Opt Out " >"Full Display"> Send list to E-mail or local disk”

Reservation Status

Please log in to " View Your Record/ Renewals " > "Requests" > “Save your personal reservation list”

★ The above data will not be transferred to the new system, so please export as needed.

Service Changes

  1. The following services will be suspended 
  • Library Card Application (including library membership application for borrowing services, interlibrary cooperation) 
  • Payment of overdue fines 
  • Login inquiry of personal borrowing records 
  • Replace lost or damaged books
  • Self-checkout/check-in machine services
  • Borrowing service notifications (including mobile app notifications, emails)
     

2.The following services will be adjusted

  • Borrowing and returning books must be handled in person at the first-floor circulation desk in an offline manner. Records will be updated after the new system goes live on January 1, 2026. 
  • Leaves of absence, withdrawals, and graduations will be processed manually.
